my values.
quality.
Making things that last.
When something is made using authentic materials and excellent craftmanship, it not only lasts longer, but it improves with age. I believe this applies to all aspects of life, from relationships, to furniture, to clothing, to digital artwork; everything can benefit from a focus on quality over quantity.
health comes first.
Without health and wellness, nothing else matters.
I do my best work when I’m taking care of myself mentally and physically. It’s important to eat right, exercise regularly, connect with nature, learn new skills, and stay in touch with friends and family. When my life is balanced everything just seems to fall into place.
appreciate nature.
Environmental health directly affects personal health.
I am always looking for new ways to improve my own sustainability efforts and educate those around me. Whether it’s reducing the number of single-use paper/plastic products, upcycling excess materials, or simply recycling items that are typically overlooked. Each small action contributes to a healthier tomorrow.
remain flexibile.
Adapt to your environment and the needs of others.
Stagnation is the death of progress. I remain open minded when life presents new challenges or obstacles. These challenges allow opportunity for personal and interpersonal growth. I continue to learn by remaining flexible.
utility.
Everything should have purpose.
Focus on aspects that add value to my life. While there is a time and place for ornament, the best decorations also serve a function. A rug can tie a room together, but it can also provide sound dampening and tactile experience. Even paintings or photos on a wall can serve as reminders of experience or inspire thought, beyond simply filling space on a wall.
Stay organized.
When things are in order, life just makes sense.
Organization makes things easier to find and easier to use; freeing my mind up to focus on creativity. Before any new project, I like to understand the full scope of what needs to be done so I can ensure the right people and information is in place to do my best work.
